Now that the house is done and we've settled in through our first anniversary, it's time to get down to some other types of projects. As you've seen from Lisa's efforts on the sewing front, she has completed several beautiful projects for our home and for others. I have finally, completed my first project, an arts & crafts styled mantle clock. Thanks to brother Michael and his wonderful wood shop and knowledge of all things wood for his help on things like mortising and finishing. I am quite pleased with the results and am looking forward to starting on the next project: a quilt rack for Lisa.

I am pleased with the overall results for a first effort and have identified a number of things to refine on the next. Isn''t that what hobbies are for?
