The kids have learned this Grace at preschool.  Precious!!!

A co-worker gave us a sandtable.  It was a big hit this afternoon.

New Quilt

As busy as life has been I have managed to carve out a bit of time to make a baby quilt for a co-worker. It has been therapeutic to put some music on and retreat to my sewing room and work on this cute little thing. Our Thursday evening group continues to meet and thankfully Pat has made it a priority for me to attend. Some of this quilt was done at group time but mostly it was completed at home. I have some other projects in mind and will see how they progress.

Snowstorm 2014

We had a great snowstorm last week.  It wrecked havoc with the schedule but what the heck.  A snow day every couple of years does a body good.  Daycare was closed and  Pat and I could not get into work so we enjoyed the day making snowmen, eating snow cream and sledding redneck style. Why redneck style?  Well, when you live in the south where it rarely snows you are generally caught off guard without a sled in sight. So you make do with a trash bag.  It worked just fine for a 2 and 4 year old. Okay, okay..... for a Meme also. Papa was on the other side of the camera or he would have tried it also.
A blanket of snow covered the area. In total we had about 7 inches.

Bayleigh did not like walking in the snow. She wanted to be carried everywhere.

Wyatt on the other hand loved the snow and if he had drier feet he would have stayed out all day.

The cardinals always stand out against the white snow.
