Weekend Festivities

We had a wonderful time at Sara and Eric''s wedding. The bride was beautiful, the groom dashing, the location spectacular and the celebration outstanding.

A good time was had by all and once again, God showed up in the selfless giving of so many family and friends who helped to make this a terrific celebration. Of course the dress looked smashing on Sara. Another item of note, Eric wore a vest and watch that was his late fathers.  There were many memories  and emotions shared at this event.

wedding dress

Well, I can finally, safely show you a picture of the wedding dress.  Didn't want to spoil it for Eric so now that he has seen it it is available for others to see.  I don't have the best pictures, as my hand were busy most of the day. This is the best I can do until Josh and Mike share their pictures.  Josh took some nice pictures of me helping Sara get dressed. I just haven't seen them yet. The wedding was beautiful and Sara was radiant.

I few signs of Spring

This first picture is of some baby bunnies Lisa accidentally uncovered while doing some weeding.  I don't know who was more scared, Lisa or the bunnies. They are going to have to move on to other, non-garden pastures or else they will end up in the crock pot.

The next photos are of our completed garden table and sink.  A couple of years ago, I got this stainless steel sink for a song with the idea of making a garden cleaning station. One of its attractions was that you could turn it on and off with your knees thus keeping your hands free for holding onto stuff. With the inevitability of our move, we never got it installed at the other house. Now, after a year, we are settled enough into our new house to take on some less pressing projects. The table is made of pressure treated decking boards with the sink set down into it.  Travis, our son-in-law re-plumbed it when they were here last October so that we could hook it up to a garden hose.

We're scheduled for some rain tonight through Tuesday so I'll wait till it dries off before I put some cedar- colored weather proofing on it to match the deck.

Pretty snazzy operation if I do say so myself.
